American Royal Parade - September 26, 2009 - Kansas City, MO

The GKCTCC had a great time at the American Royal Parade in Kansas City, MO on September 26.  The parade route was from the Union Station area to the Power and Light District.  The weather was ideal for the parade because club jackets/sweatshirts were in order.  Our entry included 23 John Deere tractors and a float with “The Other Dears.”  Club members participating in the parade included:  Charles Eagleburger (JD B), Steve Eagleburger (JD A), Cal and Cookie Rotheberger (JD H), Bryce York (JD M), Bary Porter(JD B ), Wendell and Sandy Starkebaum (JD 530), Bill Eagleburger (JD 320), John Didde (JD 40), Duane Craig (JD B), Glenn Ratliff (JD 60), Steve Reed (JD B), Dan Hanna and Gracin (JD B), Bob Antes (JD 630), Wes Storm (JD 630), Gael Rasa (JD A), Jared Arnote (JD B), Jim Arnote (JD 530), Mike Corum (JD 730), Andrew Dubois (JD 630), Jean Dubois (JD Gator), Casey Stowe (JD A), Gary Schumacher (JD B), Justin Read (JD H) and Don Hrabik (JD 430W).  Following the parade the group enjoyed a trailer gate party that included hamburgers and hotdogs.  Thanks to Mike Corum and his guest for doing the barbecue, Andrew and Jean DuBois for providing the meat and buns, etc. and to all who brought a covered dish, desserts and drinks. WHAT AN ENJOYABLE DAY!
