American Royal Parade,
September 29, 2007
Kansas City, Mo.
The GKCTCC rocket ship
landed in Kansas City, MO. on September 29, 2007 for the American Royal Parade
with enough horse power to over ride the four legged type. Over 130 entries made their way up Grand Boulevard including
our group which was made up of twenty two tractors and a float hauling the
“Other Dears.” It was a
beautiful day which accounted for many viewers along the parade route. Following the parade the group had a trailer gate party which
high lighted the day. A special
thank you to Mike and Karen Corum for providing the grill along with doing the
barbecue and Andrew and Jean DuBois for providing the meat, buns and chips.
Also thanks to all who brought drinks, desserts and other food.
A big thank you to everyone who brought a tractor--even George Reeds’
tractor that looked a little pregnant. As
the rocket ship took off someone said that it isn’t going to get any
better than this.
P.S. It was reported on the American Royal web site that the Greater Kansas City Two Cylinder Club won 2nd place in the Specialty Division----HEY, THAT IS US.
