April/Barbecue Club Meeting

April 5, 2009

1:00 p.m.

 

The GKCTCC met at Joe and Lori Meyer’s business (Overland Tow) in Merriam, KS on Sunday, April 5th starting at 1:00 p.m. for the meeting with a barbecue to follow.   The weather didn’t really make for an enjoyable day but all the people (42) had a good time despite the weather.  Major topics covered included: Dream Factory Tractor Cruise on May 2nd, Tractor Daze at the Ag. Hall on July 11th, revision of the 2009 Schedule of Events, action on the Hendrick’s tractor and Nebraska trip to visit the Tractor Test and Power Museum.  Door prizes were won by Wes Storm and Dalamar Read.  Following the meeting a delicious barbecue of brisket, ribs and salmon was served along with baked beans, salads and topped off with dessert.  Many people stayed around to visit or maybe they were just too full to move.  Thanks to Joe, Lori and Spike for hosting the meeting and providing the delicious barbecue.
