Boonville Parade
The Eastside Tractor Guys had a very enjoyable trip to the Mid-Misouri Steam
and Tractor
Show on September 6th at Booneville. Glen took his 60 with a 810 plow, Bob took
his 530 with
a 810 plow and Wes took his 630. Phil Addison was a guest on the trip. The day
was cool with
some clouds, sun and a few sprinkles/ showers on the way home. On the way we saw
a
man pulling two loads of corn with a JD 720 on a frontage road near Sweet
Springs, he waved
and so did we. Later in the day he came up to us and said he knew just where we
were going and
was going to see if he could locate us. We all had a nice visit. He was a fellow
collector of old
green.
The show featured M & M tractors but there were several Red and
Green tractors on display.
Miles Wolf said to say hello to all in our members back around the KC Area and
thanked us for
coming. He made special mention of the Powell Garden October Tractor Show during
the Parade
of power as we each were introduced. You members that have not attended this
show need to
think about next year, this is very good show.
Some of you missed out on a great Frog Leg lunch and had to settle
for BBQ Pork, but thats
another story. I might add that Linda's 60 sure looks great with the new name
tags.
