There are always questions being asked about having an event such as
"The Dream Factory Tractor Cruise". So we will share some of the more
Frequently Asked Questions and their Answers.

Q. How did the idea of the Dream Factory Cruise begin?
A. Tractors cruises have been going on for years. Many club members of
the "Greater Kansas City Two-Cylinder Club” (GKCTCC) have participated
in the Show Me Tractor Cruise for the last couple of years. They have
thoroughly enjoyed an opportunity get out to drive their tractors in
such an event and also give something back to the community. Dan Hanna
one of the club members of GKCTCC had talked with several of the members
that participated in the Show Me Tractor Cruise and thought that we could
do this here in the Kansas City area. He started forming ideas as to what
needed to be done and began putting those ideas in motion. Before long a
committee was formed to put together how we wanted to proceed with the
The Dream Factory Tractor Cruise.

Q. Why did we choose Dream Factory as the organization to benefit?
A. We wanted a worthy organization like The Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City.
It is a nationwide organization which helps out children from the ages of 3 to 18
with chronic or serious illnesses. The Dream Factory web site can be linked at
http://www.kcdream.org/. We also wanted to have an honorary chairperson's to
help sponsor our event. With the help of Larry Moore of the ABC affiliate KMBC TV
He has graciously accepted that position to help promote
"The Dream Factory Tractor Cruise". We have set a goal of raising $25,000
this year to be able to give to The Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City.
With the help of corporate sponsors and pledges from the participants we will
reach that goal.

Q. What do you do if a Tractor breaks down?
A. With the ride being approximately 39 miles, we will have two "roll back"
tow trucks that will follow the procession of tractors and if the need arises
they will bring the participant's tractor back to the Independence Town Square
at the origination point.

Q. How does the ride work and how do you raise money for "The Dream Factory ".
A. Each driver pays a $35 Registration fee to participate in the cruise.
The registration form can be downloaded at: http://www.gkctcc.com/dreamfactory/RegForm.htm.
For their registration, each driver is guaranteed a spot in the line-up, is given
a t-shirt, and a door prize ticket for the end of the day activities. There will
be a Dinner after the cruise and that will be held at the Independence Town Square.
It will be a free will donation dinner and all participants are welcome to attend
with guest. The fee also helps cover the cost of organizing and event of this size.
None of the organizing committee members, participants, or others involved with
The Dream Factory Tractor Cruise receive compensation for their part — they are
all volunteers. Also, pledge sheets are available for drivers. They are challenged
to raise at least $100.00 in pledges and sponsors for the cruise. You can download
the pledge sheet at the following link: http://www.gkctcc.com/dreamfactory/Pledge.htm.
