Western Farm Show
February 22-24- 2008
Kansas City, Missouri
The Greater Kansas City Two Cylinder Club participated in the Western Farm Show on February 22-24, 2008, American Royal building in Kansas City, Missouri. It went from Friday through Sunday rather than Saturday through Monday as in the past. The attendance appeared to be excellent even with the weather being a little on the cool side. Many of the school kids came on Friday because of the opening date change. Our display was made up of two small tractors, a variety of toys, pictures, banners, signs and a continuous running plowing video. Many people stopped by the booth to visit and/or watch the video. There seemed to be a large interest in the Dream Factory Tractor Cruise. Club members bringing items to display included: Ken Hooper (47 JD M), Andrew Dubois (40 JD H), Glenn Ratliff (pictures), Bill Eagleburger (sign) and Richard Thompson (toys). Bill Eagleburger, Ron Simpson and Justin Read acquired or provided printed materials for the display. Many members helped set up, work during the show and tear down the display on Sunday. No names are mentioned because of the possibility of missing someone. One name does stand out and that is Maxine Hooper who brought cheesecake, a cookie assortment and peanut clusters to snack on. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work -- the easiest thing to do is being their president.
I think we have it under control.
The big and little kids enjoyed this displayed
Wonder how much this cost to have those pretty girls pose.
I wouldn't believe any of these guys.
Some passer by admiring our video of a plow day.
We had excellent turn out of people who stopped by to look and visit.
Dan I bet you told your wife how hard you worked.
They are never too young to get interested.
Thanks to all who made this a very successful show.
