GKCTCC Feb 10 2008 Meeting
The GKCTCC meeting was held Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, 2:00 p.m. At the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame , Bonner Springs, KS. The first meeting of the year began with a Dream Factory Tractor Cruise pre-meeting at 1:30 p.m. During that time, Dan Hanna and the committee reviewed some details for the cruise. At the 2:00 p.m. meeting, the club approved the Nov. 2007 club meeting minutes. Treasurer Bary Porter provided the club with a financial report. Dan Hanna gave a report on the 3rd Annual Dream factory Tractor Cruise with a goal of $25,000. The 2008 club officers were installed with the president presenting some mementos. The 2008 Western Farm Show scheduled for Fri.-Sun., February 22-24, 2008 was discussed. The two featured tractors will include a JD 47 M (Ken Hooper) and a JD H (Andrew DuBois). Details for Farm Heritage Day(new name “Tractors”) scheduled for Sat., July 12, 2008 was discussed. John Didde mentioned he was planning another plow day sometime in April or March. The club approved of donating the Hendrick’s JD 50 tractor to Powell Gardens. The 2008 Schedule of Events was discussed and will be finalized at the April meeting. Other topics discussed included club jackets, shirts, and 2008 buttons for different events. Door prizes were won by Richard Thompson, Kevin Parks, Justin Read and Margaret Arnett.
