Meeting/White Elephant Auction
Wow!
What an exciting day. The
GKCTCC met on Sunday, November l, 2009 for the last meeting of the year at Ray
and Fran Jones’ home south of Belton, Mo.
A big thanks to Ray and Fran for hosting an exciting event starting with
chili (1:00 p.m.) meeting (2:00
p.m.) and white elephant auction following the meeting. Forty-four plus people were in attendance on a beautiful day. Major topics of the meeting included: Approval of 2010 slate of officers, Western Farm Show (February), Dream Factory Tractor Cruise (May), place for (April) meeting and barbecue, Tractor Daze (July), tractor for 2010 button, place for (November) meeting/white elephant auction, 501C3 status, display booth for “Gathering of the Green” in Moline, Ill. and plow day. Winners of the door prizes were Steve Reed and Margaret Arnett. The children also won prizes provided by Ray. Following the meeting many unique items were auctioned off by our resident auctioneers, Ken Buell and Bary Porter. When the smoke cleared the club’s financial account increased around $780. Thanks to everyone who brought items for the auction--their loss was someone’s gain. Thanks again to Roy and Fran for hosting an outstanding meeting.
