INDEPENDENCE
HALLOWEEN PARADE-October 27, 2007
It
was a bright and sunny Saturday, the 27th of Oct, that the East Side Tractor
Guys met for the 59th annual Independence Halloween parade. There was a large
and very appreciative crowd that saw our restored tractors pull a trailer full
of costumed adults and grandchildren. Among the costumes, we had witches (both
good and bad), vampires, pirates, power rangers, a bat man, a scarecrow, a punk
rocker and one dog dressed in John Deere Clothing. Bob, Sharon, Gary and Ken
Antes brought their 630, a Farmal B, and two 430. Dan Hanna brought his B, Ken
and Maxine Hooper brought their B and a M. Glenn Ratzlaff brought a A and a B
driven by Lawrence Walter. Wes Storm brought up the rear with his 630 and a
giant John Deere flag on the hitch. All agreed that they had a good time in the
parade.
