July 4 2009 Sugar Creek Parade

This year’s 4th of July parade in Sugar Creek, MO was like every other one. It’s either stifling hot or threatening to rain. This year it rained in the morning, but held off for the parade. We had good participation this year again with the usual green tractors along with a host of red tractors and one Persian orange CA Allis Chalmers. Ken Hooper led the parade with a POW flag flying on his tractor. His son was at his side, followed by Wes Storm, Bob Antes, Phil Addison, Vince Turley, Glenn Ratzlaff, Donnie Miller, Dan Hanna, Dan’s son, and Wayne Aderson, with his son and grandson. The judges must have liked our outfit because they awarded our group 1st place in the non-commercial division. I’d like to thank everyone for participating this year and hope to see you again next year.
