Tractor Daze--July 8-9, 2011

National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame

Bonner Springs, Ks.

Tractor Daze at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame was held on July 8-9, 2011 with Friday designated as setup day.  This year the Antique Caterpillar Club and the Antique Truck Club joined with the GKCTCC to provide many interesting and fun activities through out the weekend. Activities taking place included: dirt moving and plowing on Friday and Saturday, with a large tractor pull, garden tractor pull, two pedal tractor pulls, static tractor display and parade of Power show cased by the GKCTCC.  Other displays included independent organizations and companies displaying new equipment.  It was a great weekend to come out and enjoy the day even though it was a little on the warm side.  The large and garden tractor pulls were successful because of a large turn out of pullers along with many spectators interested in the competition.  The pedal tractor pulls were also successful because many kids liked the competition in the air conditioned barn with their parents cheering them on.  The static tractor display ( approx. 21) show cased a variety of tractors with John Deere making up the majority.  Thanks to everyone who helped in one way or another to make the weekend an over whelming success.
