TRACTOR DAZE (Farm Heritage Day)
Tractor Daze scheduled for July 12, 2008 at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs, KS was a big rain out before any of the tractor pulls started so everyone got to go home early. Many other activities were also planned. Setup on Friday and early Saturday morning went off without a hitch until the rain came. This was the eighteenth year for the function without a rain out so it appears we have been lucky over all. Club members bringing tractors included: Mike Neff (1952 JD B), Joan Craig (1948 Allis Chambers C), Duane Craig (1951 JD AR), Glenn Ratliff (1955 JD 60), (1950 JD A), (1945 JD B), Wes Storm (1953 Farmall M), (1959 JD 630), Charles Eagleburger (1952 JD A), Bill Eagleburger (1953 JD 40), (1957 JD 320), Bob Antes (1958 JD 420), Jim Arnote (1958 JD 420), Mike Corm (JD pull back tractor), John Didde (1958 JD 420), Jack Mitchell (Gravely tractor display) and Don Hrabik (1949 JD B), (20 Pedal Tractor Display in barn). Other tractors on display included Kubota and Caterpillar. Thanks to all of the people who brought tractors and/or offered their services for the different activities that didn’t happen. They all have a rain check for next year.
