On October 24th some of the Eastside Tractor Guys had a very enjoyable
road trip to The Wheatland Johnny Poppers 2 cyl Club's Swap Meet just
north of Valley Center. Phil Addison, Bob Antes, Glen Ratzliff and Wes
Storm had a very hardy breakfeast at BETO Junction on the way. While at
the Swap Meet several bargains were purchased, gauges, battery boxes,
crome stacks, power-trol parts, hubs, fenders, decals and some other
odds and ends. We saw Bryce, he said that he had already bought all the
bargains before we got there. We had good visits with some old friends
while there ( Darwin Gingerich, Travis Jorde, Harlan Wilson, Gary
Schroller, Marlin Smith, The Shepards and Mr. Kunze) to name a few of
the venders. By the way John Didde and George Reed, the I-35 Emporia
exit was very simple this year!! We only went through it once this year.
On the way back we had a great evening meal ( Ribs & Beans) at Guy &
Mays BBQ in Williamsburg. You guys, who didn't get to go, don't know
what you missed.
