July 4th, 2025, Lenexa Community Days Parade
The Club is registered to participate in the Lenexa Community Days 4th of July Parade. Club parking/meeting location is set for the P1 Group Inc parking lot located at 13605 W. 96 Terr (SW corner of 96 Terr and Pflumm, due south across 96 Terr from VFW Post 7397). The parade starts at 10 AM so we will need to be parked, unloaded and prepared to move to our staging area by 9 AM. Any questions, contact Jon Pirie.

June 7, 2025, Old Shawnee Days Parade
The 57th Old Shawnee Days Parade will occur June 7th at 10:00 AM. The parade route runs north on Nieman Rd from Shaw-nee Mission Parkway, then west on Johnson Dr to Cody Street. Staging areas for the parade route run west on the north frontage road of Shawnee Mission Pkwy (west of Nieman) to Quivira. The tractor club will park and unload tractors at the former KCAS (NE corner of SMPKWY and Long Ave). Participating tractors will move to the stag-ing area at 8:30 AM utilizing 62 Terr to the rear parking lot/alleyway of the Westlake Hardware and Price Chopper to Quivira Rd. June 1, 2025, 1 pm, GKCTCC Meeting and Auction
Our June 1st meeting will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs, KS. A picnic will start at 1:00 pm, with the formal meeting beginning at 2:00 p.m. In order for the picnic not to cost the Club the following guidelines were established -- Everyone who comes with the last name beginning with N to Z should bring a main dish (example: fried chicken, meatballs, sandwiches, etc.) and everyone who comes with the last name starting letters A to M should bring would bring a side dish (example- potato salad, beans, chips, desserts, etc.). Every year we will rotate the assignments. Everyone should bring his or her own drink. Paper goods will be provided. The activity will be held the administration building at the Ag Hall so everyone can enjoy the day.

March - April 2025 GKCTCC Newsletter

April Meeting and BBQ - April 6, 2025, 1 PM BBQ / 2 PM Meeting
The next GKCTCC meeting of the year will be held at the National Agricultural Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs, KS on April 6th. The BBQ will start at 1:00 pm with the meeting to follow. In honor of Joe Meyer, the Board wants to continue the tradition of BBQ and fellowship. The BBQ meat will be provided by the Club and potluck such as salads and desserts are welcome to compliment BBQ meats. Please RSVP the GKCTCC Instant Messenger or RSVP to Herman via phone or text or send an email to secretary at GKCTCC.com . Topics for the meeting will include the following: 2025 Schedule of Events (Approval), Barnyard Babies Festival (April 26), Ag Hall of Fame Tractor Cruise (May 3rd) and the June 1st meeting and picnic. There will be a silent auction again this year, so bring your unwanted and good items for the auction. Also bring your checkbook or cash to buy items up for bids.


Shawnee St. Patrick’s Day Parade -- March 16, 2025
The first club sanctioned parade of the year is the Shawnee St. Pat’s Parade which begins at 1 PM. Club attendees will be able to unload in the old KCAS parking lot 12400 Shawnee Mission Parkway (NE corner of SMPKWY and Long Ave). Tractors will start toward the staging area on Johnson Dr at 11 AM. Western Farm Show -- February 21-23, 2025
The Western Farm Show is scheduled for February 21-23, 2025 at the Governors Building; Kansas City MO. The club will have a display including 730 and 4010 John Deere, and a lawn & garden tractor, along with the toy display. We plan to bring in the tractors on Tuesday, February 18th, weather dependent. Help will be needed to work in the booth. For more information contact Justin Read.

February GKCTCC Meeting -- February 2, 2025, 1:30 PM
The first scheduled meeting for the year will take place on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, 1:30 p.m., at the Johnson County Monticello Library, 22435 W. 66th St., Shawnee, KS 66226. During that time we plan to install the 2025 officers, as approved in the November 2024 meeting. Upcoming events will be discussed along with the 2025 budget and future meeting locations and dates.

HISTORY
The Greater Kansas City Two-Cylinder Club was organized in January 1990 and
was incorporated in the State of Missouri on May 17, 1994.  The purpose of
the club is to promote the interest and education of the public in the
preservation and restoration of antique tractors, particularly the JOHN
DEERE two-cylinder models, their accessories, lore, literature, toys and
memorabilia.
OTHER INFORMATION OF INTEREST
The club manages a tractor pull at Farm Heritage Days at the National
Agriculture Center and Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs, Kansas.  The club
also has fun-field days along with participating in the American Royal
Parade, The Dream Factory Tractor Cruise, and Western Farm Show

every year. We meet several times through out the year to exchange ideas
and information. A newsletter is produced regularly to communicate with the membership.

The Greater Kansas City Two Cylinder Club covers Eastern Kansas and
Western Missouri, and has members not only from the Kansas City area,
but areas from St Joseph, MO to  Nevada, MO to Topeka, KS.
